Tips for playwrighting

We know you all have some brilliant ideas that need to be put in to action. Playwrighting is a fantastic way to get those creative juices flowing and let your imagination run wild. BUT sometimes a block happens and it’s so frustrating!! Don’t stress, we have got your back. We spoke to a young playwright on the best ways to get those ideas out. Here are his tips –

·     Write it down hand written first. Get a piece of paper and write down key words that are associated with your idea and slowly start forming your lines and characters bio.

·     Once you are confident with your hand-written draft, move to the computer. Now you can start formatting it like a script.

·     Don’t stress the little things at the start. Just keep writing and put down whatever comes to mind. There will be plenty of time to edit later.

·     HAVE FUN WITH IT! Enjoy these ideas coming to mind and don’t be afraid to experiment with them. Of course, some of them might not end up being the right ones but this is all a part of the creative process.
