Every session works through the four elements of breaking, then connects them into smooth, powerful rounds.

Who can join?
Breaking Academy is for students who already have the foundations and a strong attitude. Entry is by teacher recommendation, invitation or tryout. Breakers are placed into Level 1 or Level 2 by age and ability.
How do we stay updated?
Everything happens in the Band app. You'll be invited to the private Breaking Academy group.
Key notices are pinned under Notices, and every performance is in the Events calendar. Please RSVP to each one there.
How much notice for performances?
As much as we can. Some great opportunities only come up about a week out, and we'd rather say yes to those for the kids. We really appreciate your flexibility.
What happens on performance day?
- Wear: the Breaking Academy top and shorts, unless Band says otherwise.
- Shoes: Nike Air Force 1s in all white, with no coloured details.
- Meet: by the stage, unless Band gives another spot.
- Parking: events get busy, so leave plenty of time.
Are there any extra rehearsals?
It's unlikely. If we ever need one outside the normal schedule, it's charged by the hour and we'll let you know well ahead.
What if we miss a class?
Weekly training and performances are a must, so we ask breakers to miss class only when they're unwell. If a holiday clashes with a performance, let us know at the start of the year so we can plan around it.
Can we join another studio's team?
No. Academy breakers can't be on another studio's team, just like playing for one club in sport. We also ask every family to back our studio values and uniform standards.
