We are proud to offer three Junior Rep Teams in 2026, each designed to support different strengths and dance pathways:
All-Girls Hip Hop Crew
All-Boys Breaking Crew – Floor Messiahz (181 Kings A)
All-Boys Hip Hop Crew – 181 Kings B
Our Junior Rep Teams give our youngest dancers the chance to shine through weekly training, confidence-building routines and exciting performance opportunities throughout the year.
To be part of our Junior Rep Team, dancers simply need to commit to their weekly classes, ready for a year of growth, teamwork and fun. Just like in sport, consistency matters — we build strong dancers by building strong habits.
This program is designed for students with the potential to soar and the skills to level up. Our training is carefully crafted to nurture confidence, develop technique and elevate every dancer’s journey in a supportive, high-energy environment.
To be part of the Junior 181 Rep Team, dancers need to:
Attend the dedicated REP TEAM class
Attend at least one other class at Base 181 Studios
Ideally, we recommend three classes per week — two regular classes plus the additional Rep class. We’ve found this to be the sweet spot at this age for skill progression, confidence building and overall development

Getting set up with Band is super easy! Simply head to https://band.us/ on your laptop or search Band in your app store on your phone (look for the green tile with the B) to download the app.
You will have to join your dedicated Rep Team Band group. Just like all of our Base 181 Band pages, we take privacy very seriously so only people who are 'invited' can join our page.

We know life gets busy, so we want to make things as easy as possible for you! We also know how frustrating it can be trying to search through a packed inbox or busy Facebook feed to find important information. That’s why all key updates are pinned to the top of our Rep Team Band page for quick and easy access. You’ll find important announcements and reminders in the Notices section at the top of the feed.
Most importantly, all performances will be listed in the EVENTS tab.
To stay fully informed, it is your responsibility to check the Band app regularly, or ensure your notifications are turned on. Please note that performance information will not be sent via email, so the Band app will be your primary source for all Rep Team updates.
You can get all the details about our upcoming events and performances by checking out the Events Calendar on the Team Band page. On your phone? Click the calendar icon at the bottom of the page. Visiting us from your laptop? Click Events tab right at the top of the page.
From here, simply click into an event to get all the info you need (think date/time/location) plus send us your RSVP (see FAQ below).
We always aim to provide performance dates as far in advance as possible. However, as part of the fast-moving entertainment industry, opportunities can sometimes arise quickly. On occasion, final times and dates may be confirmed as close as one week prior to a performance.
This means that, at times, we may only be able to give a week’s notice for certain events or opportunities. When exciting chances come up that can greatly benefit our students’ growth and experience, we move quickly to secure them.
While last-minute events aren’t our preference, they may occur despite our best planning. We truly appreciate your flexibility and understanding when this happens — it allows us to offer the very best opportunities for our dancers.
It is essential that all Rep Team dancers RSVP to every performance event. This allows us to correctly plan formations, positions and choreography so each dancer can feel confident and prepared. Unlike a sporting team, dance performances require precise placement — students cannot step into positions at the last minute without impacting the routine and the team as a whole.
All performances must be RSVP’d to within the stated timeframe. If an RSVP is not submitted by the deadline, the student will not be permitted to participate in that performance. While we were more flexible in 2025, to maintain the high standard and quality of our Rep Teams, this will now be our official protocol moving forward.
You will find all upcoming performances in the Events section of the Rep Team Band page (as outlined above). Each performance will include an RSVP button — simply click and let us know if your dancer will be attending.
EOY Costume Requirement Notice:
Team Costumes for routines are priced at approximately $80 per costume. A detailed breakdown of all required costumes for the end-of-year performance will be provided prior. Payment for these outfits will be due in Week 1 of Term 3. If you are on Direct Debit, the costume fees will be automatically added to your debit that week.
Additional rehearsals: May be necessary, although we don't anticipate this occurring. However, in the unlikely event that it does, we wanted to inform you in advance there is potential for this to happen. Please note that any additional rehearsals beyond the standard schedule will incur an extra fee. These fees are not covered by your membership. Additional rehearsals will be charged at a rate of $23 per hour.
While our primary focus isn't on competitions, we embrace opportunities that strengthen our team dynamics. Should a compelling opportunity arise, we are fully committed to participating. Regarding fees, some competitions entail additional costs for participation. These fees are typically confirmed closer to the competition date, and we ensure parents are promptly informed about the details and payment procedures.
Costume Notice for Performance: For Rep Team performances, the designated attire will be the K-1 Rep Team Top and K-1 Rep Team Shorts. This outfit will serve as the standard performance attire unless specified otherwise on your Band app.
Shoe Requirement Notice: All students are required to have White Airforce Nikes for their footwear. Any style is acceptable, but please ensure they are entirely white with no colour accents whatsoever.
Location Notice: For performances, please be aware that the designated meeting area will consistently be near the stage. While maps may occasionally be provided, they may not always be available. If no map is provided, seek out an organiser or event staff member who can direct you to the stage. In cases where there are multiple stages at the event, we will provide specific instructions on the Band app for your convenience. If event organisers designate a particular meeting spot, this information will be clearly outlined on the Band app under the respective event. Otherwise, the default meeting point is by the stage.
Parking Notice: Frequently, the events we perform at experience high attendance and limited parking availability. It is the responsibility of each individual to arrange parking prior to the event. We strongly advise allowing ample time to find parking and walk to the stage area. Please plan accordingly to avoid any delays.
Our Rep Team are a team and as such it is very important that all team members are committed equally. Rep Team students are required to meet all class requirements and uphold the values of being a Rep Team student at our studio. We understand that things happen in life, however we expect our Rep Team students to not miss their classes lightly and only when very unwell. If you are planning a holiday that falls on one of the performances or shows please let us know at the beginning of the year so their teacher can make appropriate adjustments if/where required.
Additionally, Rep Team and Rep Team students may not participate in another dance team or studio, as this poses a conflict of interest. Similar to sports, where athletes commit to one team, being part of Our Rep Team requires the same dedication and focus. Thank you for your understanding and commitment to maintaining the integrity of our team!
As representatives of Base 181 Studios Rep Team we expect that our Rep Team students uphold the full Base 181 Studios uniform values in every single lesson. Uniforms are distributed at the beginning of the year, with additional uniform items available for purchase throughout the year!
Access to THE BASE REP TEAM is exclusively by invitation or through audition. The K-1 TEAM caters to advanced students who demonstrate the necessary dedication, attitude, and skill set, both from families and dancers alike.
Full commitment to high-level training sessions is essential. REP TEAM offers an elite program providing intensive training and performance opportunities at various events and competitions, nurturing both stage and street performing skills. Attendance at all weekly training sessions and performance dates is mandatory, without exceptions.
Our core values are fundamental to THE BASE REP TEAM, and members are expected to uphold them at all times.
If the directors determine that a student or family is not aligned with the ethos of the company, they reserve the right to withdraw enrolment.
Rep Team students may not participate in another dance team or studio, as this poses a conflict of interest. Similar to sports, where athletes commit to one team, being part of Our REP TEAM requires the same dedication and focus.
Thank you for your understanding and commitment to maintaining the integrity of our team!
