This is the next level.

The Company is for advanced dancers with the dedication, attitude and skills of an emerging professional.

Dancers train in well-rounded technique and creative routines with their own teachers, who know them personally, plus guest teachers straight from the industry.

They build stage and street performance skills, and the leadership and mindset to go with them.

Our mission is simple: develop Australia's best young performers.

Who can join The Company?

Entry is by invitation or audition. The Company is for advanced dancers who show the dedication, attitude and skills of an emerging professional, and who are ready to fully commit to high-level training. Come to tryouts on Sunday 15 November to be considered.

How do we stay updated?

Everything happens in the Band app, not by email. You'll be invited to the private Company group, and parents and dancers attend an onboarding session in the first week.

Key notices are pinned under Notices, and every performance is in the Events calendar with an RSVP button. Please RSVP before each deadline.

How much notice for performances?

As much as we can. Dates can move with industry commitments, and some gigs are confirmed only about a week out. We'd rather say yes to those for our dancers, and we really appreciate your flexibility.

What happens on performance day?
  • Wear: the Company top and shorts, unless Band says otherwise.
  • Shoes: Nike Air Force 1s in all white, any style, with no coloured details.
  • Meet: by the stage, unless Band gives another spot.
  • Parking: events get busy, so arrive early.
Does The Company compete?

Competitions aren't our main focus. We're about developing performers with real skills for the stage and the industry. If a competition will genuinely develop our dancers, we'll enter it.

What if we miss a rehearsal?

Every weekly session and every performance is a must, so we ask dancers to miss only when they're unwell. If a holiday clashes with a performance, let us know at the start of the year so we can plan around it.

Are there extra rehearsals?

They're not expected. If we ever need one outside the normal schedule, it's charged by the hour and we'll let you know well ahead.

Can we join another studio's team?

No. Company dancers can't be on another studio's team, just like playing for one club in sport. Every dancer and family also upholds our studio values and the full Base 181 uniform standard in every class.
